Towanda Elizabeth Celestial was born August 25, 1973 in Clarksville, Tennessee, the daughter of loving parents, Frank James Keyes and Bertha Lee Hoosier. Her mother, sister, Mary Ann Mills, grandparents, Billy Hoosier and Ruby Williams Hoosier, Sterling Keyes and Celestial Keyes and devoted companion, Alexander Slayden precede her in death.
She received her education in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and was a graduate of Northeast High School with the Class of 1991. She was currently employed with Embassy Suites and the A.O. Smith Company as an assembly line worker.
Towanda was a strong woman with courage and determination. She enjoyed shopping with her sisters, singing, crafting and spending time with family and friends at Clarksville Old Skool.
She would like for you to know that her work here is done. On Thursday, December 13, 2018, Towanda received God’s call, a sort of “an offer you can’t refuse”, for an appointment from which she will not return. Her new mission takes her to wonderful places where she will be doing what she loves: socializing, dancing, party planning and traveling. Music, laughter and plenty of LOVE is guaranteed. She left detailed instructions for her family to CELEBRATE her completed mission. Family members will miss her dearly... but God knows best.
Towanda leaves to cherish precious memories her stepdaughter, Desiree Slayden; father, Frank James Keyes; sisters: Dorothy Hoosier, Gwendolyn Lucas and Demetria McGregor; brothers: Christopher Hoosier, Tyrone Hoosier, Christopher Winters and Alexander Hoosier. Aunts: Maudie Wilcox, Carrie (Hudson) Mooreland, Martha Hoosier, Darlene Hoosier, Rosie Lee Jones and Linda Hoosier; uncles: Charles (Martha) Hoosier and Wayne (Tracey) Hoosier and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
