Age 71 of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Viewing Saturday, September 12, 2020 12:00 p.m-2:00p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Foston Memorial Chapel. Interment Mt. Zion Church Cemetery, Round Pond.
Ruby was born April 17, 1949 in Clarksville to James E. Williams, Sr and Addie Jackson Williams. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Keshia Lyle, parents and sister, Gabrielle Brown. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Round Pond.
She leaves to cherish her memories husband, Gregory N. Thornton; sons, Antoine (Tracey) Lyle, all of Clarksville, TN and son, Damien M. (Sherry) Lyle, North Chelmsford, MA; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchild on the way; sisters, Margaret Sparkman, Dr. Joan Harris, Gloria (Ray) Slayden, Catherine (Harrison) Baynham, Veronica Poindexter, Linda (Fred) Waldon and Tinella (Robert) Hayes; brothers, James (Tracey) Williams, Jr, Fernando (Susie) Williams and Ramonn (Lisa) Williams; stepchildren, Ebony Maddox and Gregory Thornton; sisters-in-law, Brenda Thornton and Debra (Victor) Berry; brother-in-law, Richard Thornton, host of family and friends.
