Interment Benevolent Lodge #210, Port Royal, TN. At the family request funeral service attendance limited to immediate family and social distancing will be observed.
Robert Emmitt was born to loving parents, Emmitt Norfleet and Ruby Norfleet, on November 28, 1927 in Port Royal, Tennessee. His wife, Julia Norfleet and parents preceded him in death.
He confessed and dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the Port Royal Community. He faithfully served as a member of the Deacon Board.
Robert was educated in the Montgomery County Schools. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed employment with A.O. Smith Water Products as an Assembly Line Worker and retiring in 1990 after many years of dedicated service. He was a Mason and member of Benevolent Lodge #210.
On December 17, 1949, Robert united in holy matrimony Julia and this union was blessed with a son. Robert loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed landscaping, yard work and working on cars. His presence will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him . He leaves to cherish precious memories his devoted son, Dr. Ronnie (Dr. Deborah) Norfleet; grandson, Benjamin Robert Norfleet, all of Collierville, TN; sister, Carolyn Snorton, Smyrna, TN and a host of relatives and friends.
