Rickey Titington

Rickey DeWayne, son of Jack Titington and Verlene Long Titington, was born on Friday, November 2, 1956 in Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee. His parents and siblings: Jack Titington, Jr., Clarence Titington, Katie Titington-Reed and Perctor Titington preceded him in death. He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church.

Rickey received his education in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and was a graduate of Clarksville High School, Class of 1974. He enjoyed employment with Ramada Inn in the Maintenance Department for a number of years before retiring in 2004 .

He loved his family and had a special greeting for them whenever he saw them. He would ask you “Where do it come?” and your response would be “From the Heart” with his hand over his heart. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, playing spades, being with family and friends and watching westerns and other TV shows. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence and smiling face.

On Monday, December 9, 2024, Rickey departed this life to be with the Lord.

He leaves precious memories to be cherished and shared by his daughters: Angela Watkins and Katina Rogers, both of Clarksville, TN; son, DeMarcus Rogers; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters: Frances Kendrick, Perita Hardy, Karen (Celston) Dixon, all of Clarksville, TN and Deborah (Corbin) Foster, Nashville, TN; brothers: Tony (Cynthia) Titington and Anthony Titington, both of Clarksville, TN; aunt, Evna Long and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
