Oscar Meriwether age 76 of Clarksville passed away Thursday, October 28,2021. Visitation Friday, November 5, 2021 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m at Foston Funeral Home. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 at Foston Funeral Home.
Oscar was born December 11, 1944 in Clarksville to Dennis and Emma Jean Thomas Meriwether. He retired from Clarksville Housing Authority in 2005. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Girlee Dix, Frank Walter, William Henry and Robert Meriwether, step son, George Meriwether and granddaughter, Demetria McGregor.
He leaves to cherish his memories wife, Loretta Meriwether; children, Lafina Smith, Iasia Meriwether, Stacey (Michael) Taylor, Lucille Meriwether, Rena (Jeff) Bagwell, Tanisha Meriwether, Oscar (Cathy) Merriweather, Dennis (Rosa) Merriweather, Tim (Elke) Merriweather, Walter (Sherry) Merriwether, Carlos(Lameko) Merriweather and Ramon Bagwell; 26 grandchild;38 great grandchildren; sister, Mary (Marvin) Patterson; brothers, James Chuck Meriweather and Porter (Lasandra) Meriweather, host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
