Marguerite Watson

Marguerite, daughter to Warzell Johnson and Everia Goodman Johnson, began her earthly journey on Friday, August 13, 1948 in Memphis, Tennessee. Her parents preceded her in death.

She received her formal education in the Shelby County Public School System and was a graduate of Manassas High School. Furthering her education, she attended Austin Peay State University. She enjoyed employment with AAFES, Acme Boot, Quebecor, as a homemaker and caregiver.

On November 7, 1965 she united in holy matrimony with Samuel Watson and they were the proud parents of six children.

Marguerite loved spoiling her grandkids and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing and playing spades. All who knew and loved her will sorely miss her presence and beautiful smile.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, Marguerite’s earthly journey ended peacefully as she departed this life to be with the Lord.

She leaves precious memories to be cherished by her devoted husband, Samuel Watson, Sr.; daughters: Ivy Watson, both of Clarksville, TN and Michelle Dykes, Camp Humphreys, South Korea; sons: Samuel Watson, Jr., Sylas Watson, Samuel J. Watson, all of Clarksville, TN and Alan Watson, Jackson, TN; sister, Eleanor Ogle, Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
