Lewis E. Slayden

Age 73 of Clarksville passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021. Visitation Sunday, October 17, 2021 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Foston Memorial Chapel. Interment Walnut Grove Church Cemetery.

Lewis was born February 10, 1948 in Clarksville to Sollie Askew Slayden, Sr and Mary Bell Washington Slayden. He was a 1965 graduate of Historic Burt High School and a member of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Sterling Slayden, Sr, Sollie A. Slayden, Jr, Emma Slayden Nance and Alonzo Slayden, Sr.
Lewis leaves to cherish his memoires sisters, Rosie M. (Charlie) Carney and Stella L. Slayden, both of Clarksville, TN; aunts, Annie P. Beasley, Indianapolis, IN and Ruby D. Whitlock, Clarksville, TN, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
