John Wilson

John Edward Wilson began his earthly journey on Sunday, September 16, 1956, to the delight of his parents, Willie Lee Hampton and Annie B. Osborne Wilson in Allensville, Kentucky. His parents, brothers, Robert Wilson, Joe Louis Wilson; sister, Annie Johnson; Willie Graves and Emily D. Dinkins preceded him in death. 

 He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church. His favorite scripture was Psalm 23.

 John received his education in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and was a graduate of Clarksville High School with the Class of 1974. He enjoyed employment with Flynn Enterprise as a bundle boy. He was a member of the General Q. Boyd Elks Lodge.

 He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle and cousin who loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing bingo and spoiling his grandchildren. All who knew and loved will sorely miss his presence and smiling face.

 On Friday, January 31, 2025, John went home to be with the Lord.

 He leaves to cherish precious memories his daughter, Latoshia Ann (Antonio) Walls, Clarksville, TN; children he loved and helped raise: Martina Quarles and Shannon Gardner, both of Elkton, KY and Patrick Smith, Clarksville, TN; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters: Janie K. Wilson, Louisville, KY and Ernestine H. Ward, Russellville, KY; special friend, Linda Bell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
