A bright and beautiful soul was brought to flesh on July 6, 1967 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was given the name Janice by her mother, Florence Mae Grimage Williams and father, Roy Markus Williams. Janice was the baby of nine children. She had six brothers: Roy Markus, Jr., Robert Lee (Loretta), Leroy (Velma), Javan, Henry Lee (Margaret) and Walter Dale and two older sisters: Mabalean and Rosemary (Jean).
Shortly after her birth. She and the family moved to Chicago, IL where she later started school at Libby Elementary and Arna Bontemps Elementary until eighth grade. She attended Dunbar Vocational High School where she met Kevin “Pee Wee” Jones. After dating for some time, they united in holy matrimony on December 31, 1986. Janice worked at McDonalds after school and later on conceived Kevin Jr. Then Kevin Sr., joined the military and they conceived their second born, Brandon. They began to travel the world, starting in North Carolina, then Darmstadt, Germany, After Germany they went back to North Carolina where she then conceived Janiesa. They went back to Chicago while Kevin, Sr., was stationed in Korea, then they moved to Georgia. After Georgia, they moved to Washington where they conceived Tyrell. After that it was back to Germany and three and a half years later found home in Tennessee.
Janice obtained her GED and shortly after started working at Publix Super Market. She climbed the ranks to Assistant Store Manager within 10 years. She retired in February 2018. She enjoyed her retirement and continued to be a social butterfly! She was also able to spend more time with family. She kept the family and friends connected through Facebook and other social media platforms. She enjoyed sharing photos and memories of a life well lived. She was a friend, sister, mother and mentor to so many! She gave so much love to everyone and will always and forever be cherished in our lives. Janice you were a beauty to all that knew you, a voice of a bird’s song at the most beautiful point of sunrise. We’re all so blessed to have shared a truly remarkable life with a gift sent from God! She was preceded in death by both parents, Roy and Florence, her six brothers, their wives and one sister, Rosemary and her nephew, Eric!
As we continue to cherish her beautiful soul, she leaves behind her husband, Kevin, Sr.; her children: Kevin, Jr. (Latoya), Brandon, Janiesa (David) and Tyrell. Her grandchildren: Keilani, Laniya, Skyy, Keandre and Spirit! Her sister, Mabalean; sisters-in-law: Loretta, Jacqueline and Stephanie; brothers-in-law: Terrence and Robert. As well as a whole Battalion of nephews and nieces
