Emelini Tausilia, daughter to the late Save Afa Tuitele and Agatele Tigilau Tuitele, was born on July 1, 1950 in Leone, American Samoa. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Mafini Kolone and Vitilevu Vaovasa, and two brothers: Afa Jr. Tuitele and Fa’asegi Tuitele.
After graduating from Leone High School in 1970, she married the love of her life, Suitulaga Tausilia, on October 6, 1971 in San Francisco, California. Throughout their service in the US Army and travels around the world, they lived and thrived in wedded bliss and were blessed with six children.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of Siona Le Mauga Pa’ia CCCAS in Leone, American Samoa. Her earthly service to the Lord concluded at CCCAS Soldiers of The Gospel in Clarksville, Tennessee where she served as a highly regarded advisor to the women’s ministry.A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, laughing and playing bingo. Her compassion and generosity are known to all, as is the constant smile everyone sees when she greets them. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Roman 12: 10: “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” She leaves behind cherished and precious memories to her devoted husband of 50 years, Suitulaga Tausilia; brothers: Save Tuitele, Saga’a’au Tuitele, and Luatasi Tuitele; sisters: Na’oupu Leota, Talatalaga Sauaga, and La’ia Fa’aleaoga; aunt, Pafuti Phineas; kids she took under her wing, Ma’osi Tuitele and Paolo Tapu, other countless family and friends, and her children:
