Eliza B. Moody

Age 88 of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Viewing Friday, January 8, 2021 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Faith Apostolic Church, Charlotte, TN with the funeral service to follow. Interment Mt. Zion AME Church Cemetery.

Eliza Bell Moody was born in Dickson County, Tennessee to Fannie Mae Ramey and Whitfield Daniel on April 25, 1932. Her husband, Phillip Edward Moody, Sr., parents, brother, Leslie Whitfield Daniels and sister, Alma Sweatt preceded her in death.

Eliza accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized in Jesus’ name at an early age. She was a lifelong member of the Faith Apostolic Church. She was faithful and devoted to service and loved the Lord.

Eliza was educated in the Southside Community. In her adult years she served as a nanny and housekeeper for various families within the community.

She was united in holy matrimony to Phillip Edward Moody, Sr., and they were the proud parents of four children.

Eliza loved spending time with her family and friends. All who knew and loved her will sorely miss her presence.

She leaves to cherish precious memories four children: Phillip Edward Moody, Jr., Jane Moody-Smith, Barbara (Ronnie) Pratt and Kamal Muhammad; sister, Virginia Holmes; brother, George (Carol) Daniels; two spiritual daughters: Patricia Ussery and Mary Jordan and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
