Douglas MacArthur Minor

Douglas MacArthur Minor, age 80, departed this life on September 26, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. 
Douglas was born on April 26, 1942, in Montgomery County, TN and graduated from the Historic Burt High, Class of 1960.  He professed his faith at an early age and united with Concord Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member and trustee until his death.  Douglas retired from American Standard after 40 years of service.  He was an avid motorcyclist, and his grandkids loved nothing more than for “Papa” to ride them around the block on his gold-wing motorcycle.  Douglas was lifetime member of the Dragon’s Motorcycle club, and he held the position of local President, going on to become national President.  He was a member of the Warfield Lodge #44 F& AM, PHA, Clarksville, TN.  
Douglas was preceded in death by his mother, Eddie Bell Minor, and brother, Robert Henry Minor Sr.  He is survived by his children, Kirk (Sherri) Minor, Clarksville, TN. and Karla R. Young, Pelham, AL., brothers Isaiah (Mamie) Minor, Clarksville, TN. and Rev. Larry Minor, Clarksville, TN., and Audrey Minor, mother of his children and lifelong confidant; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Viewing Saturday, October 1, 2022, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Concord Missionary Baptist Church. Celebration of Life  will occur noon Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Concord Memorial Gardens.
