Deacon Dewey Fort Jr, died August 27, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare at the age of 72.
He was born October 21, 1948 to Admiral Dewey Fort and Hattie Frances Allen Fort in Clarksville, TN. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Deneen Fort, grandchildren, Faith Rogers and Akeem Williams and his parents. Dewey was a member and Deacon at Concord Missionary Baptist Church. Viewing Friday, September 3, 2021 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with the family present 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Homegoing Celebration 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Concord Memorial Gardens.
He leaves his loving and devoted wife Ruth Ogburn-Fort, his daughters, Lola Renee Rogers Clarksville, TN, Cindy (Jeffrey) Starks Antioch, TN, Veronica (Hollis) Williams Clarksville, TN, Grandchildren, Christina Fort, Nathaniel Rogers, Tiffani Jackson, Ahmad Williams, Ahaziah Williams and one great granddaughter Farrah Fort, all of Clarksville, TN.
