DeMarcus Montez was born to Alvin Ray Curtis and Ginger Darlene Pace on June 30, 1981 in Evansville, Indiana. His father, Alvin, grandparents: Edward Curtis, Lewis Pace, Jr., Iona D. Pace and Anderson Barker preceded him in death. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. DeMarcus was educated in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and graduated from Clarksville High School with the Class of 1999. An avid sportsman, he played football at Coahoma Community College and Tuskegee. Furthering his education, he studied at Nashville State College for two years. He was employed as an Assembly Technician with Electrolux. A beloved son, brother, uncle and friend he loved spending time with his nieces and nephews watching them play football and basketball in their youth leagues and for their schools. He was a loving, caring, “Big Man” with a heart of gold who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed football, basketball and playing computer and Play Station 4 games. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. DeMarcus departed this life at home on September 11, 2018. He leaves to cherish precious memories his mother, Ginger Darlene Pace; brother, LaKeith Antjuan (Jennifer) Pace; grandmothers, Lulla Curtis and Donnell Barker; aunts: Lois Curtis, Eloise McCarthy, Mary Conn, Katie James, Vickie Pace, Sandra Pace, Marva Lois Marks and Sherena Simmons; uncles: Charles Curtis, Steve Curtis, Wayne Curtis, James L. Pace, Lewis Pace, Dewayne Pace, Larry Pace, Jimmie Lee, Mark Pace and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, September 21, 2018 12p.m.-7p.m. with the family present 5p.m.-7p.m. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Greenwood Cenetery.
