Delores Harris

Delores Jean Harris transitioned from this earthly life into eternal rest on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee after a brief illness. She was the ninth child born to the parentage of the late Earl Harris, Sr., and Florence Osborne Harris.

Delores, affectionately known as “Lois” by her siblings and “Lolo” by her friend and partner in crime, Marva Ogburn. Delores was born July 14, 1958 in Clarksville, Tennessee. She graduated from Clarksville High School, Class of 1976.

Delores retired from Hardee’s of Clarksville in 2022 after 35 years of service. She never shied away from hard work and was a dedicated employee during her tenue.

Delores will be missed by all who knew her and to know her was to love her. She was an avid lover of sports and a staunch supporter of the Memphis Grizzlies basketball team and the Tennessee Titans football team. Whenever there was a game with the Titans, she would dress up in her Titans gear and you would find her seated in front of the television cheering for her team. Her favorite TV show was “Blue Bloods”.

Delores loved spending time with her family and was always the star at any family party or gathering of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Earl Harris, Jr., Edward Lamar (Deano) Harris and sister, Rosalind M. Harris Gross.

She leaves to cherish her memory, the joy of her life, daughter, Ramona T.
