Deacon John W. Gold

Clarksville - Deacon John Wesley Gold, age 87, transitioned to eternal rest on Sunday November 29, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, TN. A public viewing with take place Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 4:00-5:00 p.m., at Foston Memorial Chapel. A private graveside service will take place outside at the Boiling Spring MBC on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 12:00 noon, with Interment following at 2:00 p.m. at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY.

John was born on June 24, 1933 to the late Annie Elizabeth Kendrick Gold and the late Isreal Gold in Montgomery County, Tennessee. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Mary Love Gold, Nancy Mae Gold and James Robert (Rooster) Kendrick.

He was a devoted Deacon, lifelong farmer and member of the Boiling Spring Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of over 62 years, Julia Gold and children, Patrick (Andrea), Dr. Moniqueka E. Gold and Maria Gold; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Although it sadden us, but due to the pandemic unfortunately the family will not be able to receive visitors, flowers or food during this time. We appreciate all prayers, texts and phone calls.
