Memorial service 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Foston Memorial Chapel with immediate family. Damon Leon, son to Edwards Liggins and Maxine Patterson Liggins, was born April 2, 1943 in Washington, PA. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Ann Brewer Liggins, daughter, Catherine Liggins Davila and parents. He was a member of St. Peters AME Church. Damon was retired from the U.S. Army and the Clarksville Transit System as a bus driver. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. On April 11, 1998, Damon united in holy matrimony with Deborah Pollard. Damon was a fun loving, humorous man; devoted father and husband. He loved spending time with his family, playing cards with friends, listening to old music, watching Steeler football and eating sweets. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his smiling face and presence. On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, Damon departed this life to be with the Lord.He leaves to cherish precious memories his wife, Deborah Pollard Liggins, Clarksville, TN; daughters: Bridgett Liggins, Clarksville, TN, Lonette Collazo, Knoxville, TN; sons: Damon Liggins, Jr., Houston, TX, Andre Brewer, Phoenix, AZ, Tony Brewer, Gaithersburg, MD and stepson, Adrian Pollard, Chicago, IL; sister, Juanita Liggins Kennedy, Charlotte, NC; brothers: Edward Liggins, Leavenworth, KS and Thomas Liggins, Marysville, OH and a host of relatives and friends.
