Age 79 of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, January 15,2019. Visitation Friday, January 18, 2019 12:00 noon-7:00 p.m. with the family present 5:00p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Woodlawn Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Woodlawn Elizabeth Church Cemetery, with full military honors. He was born February 8, 1939 in Birmingham, AL to Johnny H. Underwood and Mary Lewis Underwood. He is preceded in death by his daughters, Kathy Denise Underwood and Monica Genise Underwood, son, Arthur L. Underwood, Jr and parents. He was a member of Woodlawn Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member. He leaves to cherish his memories loving and devoted wife, Willet Underwood; daughters, Loria Harris, LaMarco Ellis and Gracie Mallory all of Clarksville, TN; sons, Michael Underwood, Huntsville, AL and Donald Underwood, San Antonio, TX, Kenneth (Bridget) Hite, The Colony, TX and Phillip Hite, Clarksville, TN; sisters, Carolyn (Phillip) Williams and Sharon K. Rowell, both of Richmond, VA; brother, Johnny (Rosa Lee) Underwood, Richmond, VA; aunt, Annie Gibbs; uncle, Napoleon Lewis sister-in-law, Birdie Robinson and 19 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
