Carolyn Gold

Carolyn Sue, daughter to Janie Marie Wharton and John Robert Cohen, Sr., was  born on October 4, 1951 in Nashville, Tennessee. Her parents and brother, John Robert “Seabiscuit” Cohen, Jr., preceded her in death.

She received her formal education in the Davidson County School System, and she was a graduate of East High School in Nashville, TN.

With a huge loving heart, caring spirit and out-going personality, Carolyn helped anyone who was in need, never turning anyone away. Considered everyone’s “Mama”, she has a special gift of working and connecting with adults with special needs.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and friends. She loved cats, small dogs and was an avid reader. Carolyn greeted everyone with a smile and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Carolyn departed this life on September 4, 2020.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her daughters, Nadia Gold and Christina Gold, both of Clarksville, TN; sons, John Gold, Jr., Las Vegas, NV, Derrell Gold and Reginald Gold, both of Clarksville, TN; 14 grandchildren,  four great-grandchildren; sister, Gwendolyn Cohen Harris, Clarksville, TN and a host of  relatives and friends. Funeral service 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2020 at Foston Memorial Chapel.
