James C. Talley

[gallery ids="2075"] James Calvin Talley  was born September 22, 1943 in Kingston Springs, Cheatham County, Tennessee to Samuel Talley and Nellie Edmonson Talley who precede him in death. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was a member of Belltown Church of Christ where he served as an usher and song leader.He received his education in the Cheatham County School System and was a graduate of Hampton High School with the class of 1963. He was self-employed in the masonry field and enjoyed working with concrete.James loved spending time with his family and friends, playing and listening to the Blues, family outings, being in the great outdoors and picking turnip greens.  All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence.On Thursday, December 14, 2017, James transitioned from his earthly life to his heavenly home.He leaves to cherish precious memories his daughter, Elisha (Larry) Talley, of Clarksville, TN; sons: Kenneth Talley and Eric Talley, both of Dickson, TN, Anthony Talley, of Clarksville, TN and Dewshaun Newsom, of Nashville, TN; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. His sisters: Sallie Ann Shelton, Nancy (Rickey) Boyce, Mary Frances Foster, all of Nashville, TN and Ella Talley, of Clarksville, TN and his brothers: Charlie (Mary) Talley, of Pegram, TN, Dale (Mildred) Talley, of Kingston Springs, TN and Harold Newsom, of Nashville, TN. A very special friend, Tammy Horner, Sonny Bell, Clearance Bell, Michael Corlew and Antonio Daniel and a host of other relatives and friends.
